Scope of Works

Design, manufacture and Installation of five (5) off drop over type acoustic enclosures to power generators

United Industries were contracted to provide acoustic enclosures for housing 4 off QSV91 gas generating sets (supplying a total 7 MW of prime power) and one (1) off QSK60 diesel generating set (supplying 1.6 MW of backup power).

We designed and built these units to be of a drop over type to minimize installation and site duration time. The units were supplied in two sections comprising the main engine enclosure and the supply air ventilation systems. Our design brief was to achieve 85 dBA @ 1 metre.

The enclosures are 4 mts wide, 4.2 mts high and 14.6 mts long each, complete with internal lighting, power to a common terminal box, internal lifting via girder trolleys and chain blocks. The enclosures were complete with engine exhaust systems and the mufflers were spark arrestor type specifically designed for the application.
